Message from the Tax Collector …
In an effort to stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Tax Collectors office will be temporarily closed to the public. You may pay your taxes in person by utilizing our drop box located outside of our building or by mail. At this time, the property taxes have not been deferred and the grace period has not been extended.
Payments for 2nd quarter taxes are due on May 1st with a grace period of May 10th 2020.
Homestead rebate credits: Homestead benefit credits will not be issued at this time. In light of the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, the State has placed funding for Homestead Credits in reserve to meet emergency and statutorily required obligations. The State of New Jersey will address Homestead credits later in the year.
Senior Freeze Applications: Senior freeze applications are not due to the State of New Jersey until November 2nd 2020 and we encourage our residents to hold off with getting them completed. Please be advised that we can only fill out applications if they are sent to us by mail or left in our drop box located outside of our building. We will return the completed form to you by mail. For those of you who do not wish to mail or leave your senior freeze forms with us, please visit us when our offices re-open to the public.
We will be available to answer any questions by phone or email. Please see our contact information below. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for the inconvenience.
